For the understatement of a lifetime, Jesus did a lot for us. He chose to allow himself to be betrayed and killed. In doing so, he glorified God because he showed the depth of love that God has for us.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and, yes, you really should feel fine. Hearing about the end of anything can sound terrifying, but the image here is one of peace, comfort, and worship.

The Risen Lord doesn't have a lot of time to waste. His window on the earth is extremely limited, but he takes the time to cook his disciples breakfast, break bread with them, and reassure Peter. Christ embodies forgiveness in community but also deeply convicts Peter to do something with this new found forgiveness and Spirit.

Jesus enters Jerusalem in triumph. Yes, he leaves again under very different circumstances, but here, as he rides in on a donkey, worshipped by his disciples, and declared king, we see his alternate kingdom breaking in for a glorious moment. The broken are made whole. The humble are exalted.

Mary washed Jesus's feet, with the most expensive material available. Judas would have hoarded the expensive for himself. Who is the better disciple? Perhaps, that answer is obvious, but maybe the better question is, which type of disciple are we? This is exactly the question that Pastor Trey, Scott, and Brandy wrestle with.

Got is the good parent just waiting for us, on the road, to catch even the first sight of our return. The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a beautiful story of God's forgiving love, but have you stopped to think about it from the father's perspective? What about the older brother?
